What a fantastic experience! My only regret was not taking any photos of the incredible food! I chose this spot for my partner's birthday dinner, and they did not disappoint. The staff quickly accommodated our group of 8, and the drinks were spot on! We sat outside on the patio, which was vibrant, full of energy, and adorned with an abundance of plants--such a relaxing atmosphere. Happy hour from 2 pm to 6 pm was a bonus! We ordered the Bandera Palomar, which was massive (definitely enough for four people to share), along with the sopa de frijol, the ensalada de carbón with added salmon, the chicharrón de ribeye (a happy hour appetizer), and the garnachas. Everything was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. For dessert, we indulged in churros and tres leches--both absolutely divine. It was a memorable night, and I highly recommend this place!

Stop at Palomar Cocina & Cantina to visit with family and friends. Interesting spot and I liked the location. Outstanding: Very inviting place and loved the decor; Smallish, but there was plenty of seating. Staff were cordial and friendly. I do remember it being a bit slow, but nothing that stood out. Good: I ordered vegetable fajitas, which was a large portion of a good mixture of vegetables, including a complete nopal. Presentation was fun served in a cutting board with tortillas, rice, refried beans and guacamole. Prices: Food was affordable with some pricey items. The vegetable fajitas were $14.95, without any meat. Chicken tortilla soup $8.95 and baked potato stuffed with beef fajita $13.95 were ordered by others at our table. Okay: Food portions were all over the place. The vegetable fajita was a good size, but the stuffed baked potato was extremely small and the soup needed more chicken and vegetables. Taste for the fajitas l and beans was very bland. And the tortilla soup was mostly onions and chopped green peppers with a bit of sliced avocado. This place has potential and they had other food items that looked appetizing. I would like to try some of those as a second visit.

Really cute place! It's tucked away off the highway in a really random way but very nice! Nice outdoor seating and great service and food. I believe our servers name was Israel and he was great! No complaints :)

Tried this place out tonight and it did not disappoint. We loved the ambiance outside, from the live music, lighting, and mature trees surrounding the venue. Complimentary chips and salsa and we ordered the queso blanco. It was very good I'd give 4/5. My husband ordered the enchiladas verdes ( he gave 9/10) and I had the spinach enchiladas (8/10). I was happy to see that had a few good vegetarian options and the portion sizes are good. The highlight was the churro dessert (10/10). Absolutely delicious and perfect. My only complaints were service ( it was busy but they have plenty of staff, and so it was a little too slow) and the parking ( it's kind of a maze of a parking lot that is shared with a bbq restaurant and a coffee house, so pretty tight). Despite the complaints, it is still worthwhile to go back again.

Made a reservation via OpenTable. I like that when I arrived, they had the table ready. We sat inside, but they have a nice patio. They also have an outside and an inside bar. As soon as I got seated, they brought me my chips and salsa. My waiter didn't come around for quite a while, but once he came by, he came back often and anticipated our needs. I ordered the queso Blanco to start with. I ordered the small portion. It was good, but I probably would not order it again. It came with different types of chips. I like the ones that you get complementary better than the ones that came with the queso. The salsa that comes with the complementary chips was also very good. It wasn't too spicy. For my main meal I ordered the stacked shrimp enchiladas that came with green sauce. It kind of reminds me of an enchilada casserole or lasagna type enchilada. It was layered with refried beans, cheese and green salsa. It was pretty good. Very flavorful I ordered a Cantarito. If wasn't that great. I then ordered a house margarita and that was better. Parking is going to be the biggest issue for this place. The parking is shared with the other business and it is very limited. It took quite a while to find parking. I went around the parking lot a few times, and even explored the back part of it.

First visited this fairly new restaurant during the brutally hot summer. Inside was cool and calm and colorfully decorated - an oasis! Good ambiance, very friendly, helpful service. LOVED the tableside quacamole prep, and the creamy green result was DELICIOUS! Our group had enchiladas and fajitas, and everyone enjoyed their meal. We've been back several times since that first summer visit, and it's becoming a favorite!

Great lunch experience on the whim after looking for tasty options on Yelp. Tucked away just off the street, under lots of large, pretty trees. The first thing that struck me, is how large the dining room is. Between the large outside dining space and the roomy indoor space, Palomar has quite a bit of table space! Our waitress was helpful in discussing the menu options. I opted for the CRISPY ENCHILADAS VERDES - very tasty with the main course, spinach salad, rice & beans (5 stars). My colleague ordered the ENCHILADAS DEL SOL - he enjoyed his meal too (5 stars). I look forward to returning & trying more options.
